Put this one in the category of “can’t make this shit up”.
Jessica Treviño was recently deported. To clarify, she was illegally deported. She’s 34 years old. She came here at seven years old. At twenty she qualified for the protections under DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals). She is married and has three children. A couple of key provisions of DACA matter. First, any sort of criminal conviction revokes DACA status. She has no criminal record so this doesn’t apply to her. Second, and important here, one loses DACA status if they travel outside the United States.
In March of this year Jessica and her husband were detained (KIDNAPPED) by ICE and removed from the United States. She was deported despite her legal right to remain in this country. Now? This is where the “can’t make this shit up comes” into play. She is trying to return to the United States. She’s being denied entry because she “violated” the terms of DACA by leaving the United States. WTF?!?!?! She was kidnapped and forcefully removed from the country.
It’s important to consider her picture. She doesn’t match the look that is acceptable to the hateful, racist leaders of our country. The courts have said that it’s OK for ICE to racially profile people, people who look like her. How is this OK? How much MAGA hate is too much?

Resist
The Ugliness is the Hope, but only if we embrace the rage and act.
Resist. Persist. Oppose. Propose. Be the opposition with a proposition.
