Quite simply, disassociating from whites committing crimes and assignment of blame to a group, a race, when the crime is committed by a Black? Hypocrisy. Racism. How can it be labeled any other way?

Tired
I'm just fucking tired of people using disconnected facts to prove things that are not true. Just listened to CNN and Kamau Bell do this Larry Bird, the Celtics, Magic Johnson thing about racism. Tired. Yeah, Larry was white. Still is, near as I can tell. But a white guy on the Celtics to prove … Continue reading Tired
Let It Happen
I don't know how else to say it. Let it happen. Let COVID-19 run rampant, run wild. Yes, protect yourself. Wear a mask. Socially distance. Bubble, protect your family. Sanitize. And endure. Because Darwin is at work. Think about this: a handful of states are doing well. They, we, rejected Trump's ignorance, his rejection of … Continue reading Let It Happen
Tell me
Have you read this book? "White Fragility". I'm starting thoughts on what I'm going to write. Robin DiAngelo writes about why we white people are afraid to talk about "it", about race. We sanitize things with, well, codes for THAT WORD. So tell me, what are you afraid to talk about? Tell me what you … Continue reading Tell me
The Darkness
Is the darkness viewing my blog tonight? I wonder. I've had more page hits from a single user than ever before. Yeah, I see the stats. Is it the darkness? The hate? You see, I've publicly and loudly declared who I am on a public forum here in Melrose, MA. Said it to the trolls, … Continue reading The Darkness
A Quote That Matters
"I love America more than any other country in the world, and, exactly for this reason, I insist on the right to criticize her perpetually". - Jame Baldwin Be the PebbleAct
Acceptance
We, and when I say we, I mean we white people, need to own the violence that that has been committed in our names, our history, all of it, especially the violence against Blacks and Native Americans. We need to own the violence of slavery, the repression of Jim Crow, the genocide of Native Americans. … Continue reading Acceptance
Boogaloo!
Just look at the word. It sounds like it could be a 1970's disco dance craze. Or perhaps it's a racist jungle cry from an old Tarzan movie. It's neither. It's something far worse, darker, and it's here. The second most deadly terrorist attack on US soil was committed by a white nationalist. Yes, not … Continue reading Boogaloo!
Monday’s Quote
"be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity" - Horace Mann, 1859 Be the pebble - Act
Be the Pebble (part 2)
Have you ever taken a walk with a pebble in your shoe, a small stone? It doesn't take much at all, something tiny, to be irritating. And yes, there are many that need to be irritated in this world we live in. Those who shout "All lives matter" when you are holding a sign that … Continue reading Be the Pebble (part 2)
