I may be wrong, but I don't think one wins a Nobel Peace Prize by killing people.

Cooking: Thoughts on Food
Generally I write and post about politics, often regarding some pretty nasty things done by the Trump administration and his MAGA crew. Today I'm posting about something considerably lighter that I hope you'll find interesting. In 2003 I applied for, and was accepted to, the Professional Chef Program at the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts. What follows is the essay that I wrote as part of the application process.
Darnella Frazier
With the continuing flow of horrors and evil that flow daily from the Trump and MAGA world many of us are left with feelings of despair and hopelessness. What can I, what can we do to change things? I'd like to introduce you to Darnella Frazier. Sometimes doing a little thing can rock and change the world.
Kristi Noem / ICE
The NY Times is reporting that Kristi Noem is subpoenaing several social media companies asking for data on people who are criticizing ICE. In support of making this effort easier #FUCKICE I stand with the First Amendment.
Privilege (and lack thereof)
“Our Nation Is Moving Toward Two Societies, One Black, One White—Separate and Unequal”. This is a quote from report of the National Advisory Commission on Civil Disorders, a committee put together by President Lyndon Johnson after civil unrest during the mid 1960's. If this were written today "Black" and "White" would likely be replaces with "Wealthy" and "Not".
