Today I had a letter to the editor published in The Boston Globe. To provide context for those of you from out of state or not familiar with the issue: Massachusetts has been considering designs to replace the current state flag. There are several reasons why, among them are the depiction of a native American on the state seal and a raised sword above his head.
Apparently the two leading GOP candidates for governor have chosen this issue as there lead item in the attack against the so called “culture wars”. While it may garner them a bit of attention in the MAGA world (let’s out-Trump Trump?) it also shows a serious disconnect from the issues confronting us in the real world.
The Ugliness is the Hope.
