A little while ago I sent the following message to Katherine Clark, my representative in Congress. She is the second highest member in leadership of the Democratic Caucus. I sent similar emails to my Senators, Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey.
Regarding the current CR ending on March 14, 2025, please do nothing to help bail out Mike Johnson and his MAGA crew. This mess is theirs to fix. I doubt he can get the votes for a new CR nor to raise the debt limit. Work the message that this the GOP’s majority’s problem to fix. When the time comes, shut the whole thing down, all of it. Some say this is what Trump wants. Maybe it is. Yet when his supporters stop getting things like their farm relief payments? He’ll hear it and so will the rest of his sycophants that serve on the other side of the aisle.
Shut it down. All of it.
