It turns out Ruth was not kidnapped, she and her father were murdered at the Supernova music festival. It took twelve days before her body was identified.
A note: everything I’ve been posting for 119 days is extracted from a PDF that was put together shortly after the October 7 Hamas attacks. As we’ve seen, many of the people originally thought to have been kidnapped were later determined to be murdered. I’ve been including everyone from that original document to honor those who were killed and not forget those who are still held captive. That said, we need to also remember the Palestinians who have been killed. The estimated total has surpassed 30,000. Thousands more remain unaccounted for, likely buried in the rubble. Reports are that 70% of those who have been killed are women and children. That’s over 21,000 people who are NOT Hamas fighters. Nothing justifies the October 7 attack. And nothing justifies the disregard that Bibi and the IDF have shown for Palestinian lives both in Gaza and on the West Bank.
I care more about the lives of the Palestinian people than do Hamas, Bibi, and the IDF do. I hope that’s true of you too.
