So, let’s accept this as a premise, 40% or so of the people believe that the news is fake and that Trump is the only one who tells the truth. Yeah, dumb. Let’s expand on dumb. We all know Trump is lying. 90% of the cost of NATO is not paid by the US, it doesn’t matter how many times Trump says it, it’s not true. But does Trump know he’s lying? Most of us assume he does. But is the reality that Trump is too dumb to know the difference between the truth and a lie? Or is he just channeling Roy Cohn, his mentor, and repeating things until people accept them? Wasn’t this a method of Joseph Goebbels and the Nazis?
