Darnella Frazier

With the continuing flow of horrors and evil that emanate daily from the Trump and MAGA world many of us are left with feelings of despair and hopelessness. What can I, what can we, do to change things? I’d like to introduce you to Darnella Frazier. Sometimes doing a little thing can rock and change the world.

We all know the story of George Floyd, murdered on May 25, 2020 in Minneapolis by Derek Chauvin. The early report from the Minneapolis PD described things as a man dying while resisting arrest. Everything changed when an eight minute and forty-six second video went viral. Darnella Frazer took that video. She was a high school junior. Her lawyer described her as a normal teenager “with a boyfriend and a job at the mall”. This is what it means to be the pebble. Darnella didn’t wake up on May 25, 2020 thinking she would change the world. By the end of the day she had.

Renée Good would be no more than another statistic without those who bore witness.

Alex Pretti would be a domestic terrorist if so many had not recorded his murder.

Little things matter.

In a world of Donald Trumps be a Darnell Frazier.

The Ugliness is the Hope.

Resist. Persist. Oppose. Propose. Be the opposition with a proposition.

Be the Pebble
