45%, 104 Days

It’s been 104 days since Maria hit Puerto Rico.  45% of the people on the island still have no power.  An acquaintance tells me her family won’t get power back until at least April.  Why does no one care?  This is part of the United States.  There would be an uproar if Houston were still in the dark.  Imagine if this were Florida.  Something would be done.  Yet the “highlight” of help in Puerto Rico was the president throwing paper towels.  Perhaps China will send aid.  Washington isn’t.
