I remember when Ronald Reagan touted the Republican Party as the party of family values.  While he and I differed significantly on what we believed those values to be, I can say for sure that he would be horrified that one of those values now seems to be tearing families apart.  Reagan’s family values were about preserving families, not destroying them.
